About ComposeArts

ComposeArts produces and promotes the original works of Angela Rice while fostering artistic collaboration and education.  We provide opportunities for artists to grow professionally and share work that inspires creativity and community.

ComposeArts' mission supports the following programs in 2025-2026:

Thy Will Be Done, an Easter oratorio that follows Jesus’ life, ministry, crucifixion & resurrection. This 90-minute Easter Oratorio has featured Metropolitan Opera Tenor Gregory Turay in the role of Jesus with Grammy award winner Kenneth Overton, internationally acclaimed soloists, renowned orchestral musicians & distinguished community choirs. 2026 dates to be announced.

The Creative Arts Partnership (CAP) is a formal program to recognize and expand something ComposeArts is already doing - supporting and mentoring emerging and professional artists through performances, recordings, and educational outreach. CAP was established to recognize and support artists who excel in the arts. To maintain the program’s integrity and prestige, CAP artists are accepted by invitation based on past performances of distinction, advanced artistic or professional training, and demonstration of community leadership.

The Royal Red Bird, a 90 minute children's musical fable that has also been adapted into a children's book with illustrations by Lindsey Kiser. The Royal Red Bird has been selected by the University of Kentucky's Schmidt Opera Outreach Program (SOOP)'s touring production beginning in 2026.
